Window Shop: Black Shoes

Black shoes.

I don’t have enough black shoes!! First world problems alert.

Ok, let me rephrase that. So what I’m meaning to say is that I don’t have the right ones. Exhibit A of what happened this very morning. (Maybe it’ll be yesterday or even last week by the time I get this post up!)

What the heck?? Puma suede platforms with blue tights and a kitty dress. Which one does not belong?

After doing all the web support this morning per my somewhat normal part-time schedule, I’ve realized that it’s been awhile since I’ve posted.  Especially at my developer site, but let’s not go there.

For the past few months, I’ve been posting my “Finds Of” series here, which showcases the goodies that I’ve acquired in my travels. Have you ever felt acute writer’s block? I’ve been decompressing over the past month from the last year that was filled with the full-time software apprenticeship.

Left brain, right brain, it was all a jumbled mess. Programming is fucking hard.

That said, window shopping is not. I’d say monitor shopping since what you’ll be doing here with me is shopping from the sanctuary in front of your monitor?

What’s a gal to do when she has a closetful of stuff and nothing to wear? Ok, first world thrifting privilege but you know what I’m saying. The shoes I have acquired lately would best be at home on a “fitness goth” board on Pinterest.

Do I need something that’s not sporty and not quite fancy? I could post at least a month’s worth of entries about my fancy shoes. 99% thrifted, just so you know.

I’ve got a Shopstyle account and I was able to window shop and make a widget! Here’s what I came up with?? From $29.63 to the Rick Owens topping out at $1702, talk about champagne wishes and caviar dreams! I’m still not sure that any of them would fit the bill.

Tell me what’s working out for you, dear readers?

I could always go back to my trusty way worn out 10 eyelet patent Dr. Martens with a steel toe. I’ve never done well with any of the “comfort” brands like Dansko (arch issues), Rockport (too matronly except for the Zelias below), and I think that Tieks are overpriced and not comfortable. Steve Madden, Skechers and those brands, I think they’re cheaply made and priced accordingly.

First world resale problems.
Have a great weekend! 🙂
