Finds of the Week 9.2.16

Random! Talk about the most random finds this week. And what a week!

Dolce and Gabbana, 3.1 Phillip Lim, a vintage bowling shirt, platform wedges and more in this week’s edition of Finds of the Week. I told you that they would be random!

When I thrift, I diversify my portfolio, so to speak. Although I have my favorite items that I shop for, it’s not good to limit myself when it’s not that difficult to find anything else that I think my shoppers and friends will find interesting.

I found this Dolce and Gabbana dress for a sum so low that I’m not going to mention it to you just yet.

Regarding my body, I have a shorter waist. Sometimes it’s hard to find things that are flattering, even though black is my go to color. The cut and fit of this dress indicate that it’s a little big. I’m not sure where I’m going to list it yet. Marked EU size 44 and measures toward a larger 6-smaller 8 for couture.

The cut and fit of this dress indicate that it’s a little big. It seems as if it’s meant to be worn by someone taller! I’m not sure where I’m going to list it yet. It’s marked EU size 44 and feels like a larger 6-smaller 8 for couture. It’s beautiful, though, and someone will be thrilled.

Black dresses like these can be very hard to photograph to get their proper silhouette, so I ended up needing to model this.

Up next is a vintage bowling shirt that’s in excellent condition for its age. Oakland Gee’s Billiard and Bowling Supply. Apparently, it’s a real place that might now be called Oakland Billiard Supply according to Google. Marked men’s size 32, this fits very well and is like a ladies 2-4.

What a first world thrift problem! This Phillip Lim dress is such a weird dress to photograph. It’s from 3.1 by Phillip Lim and is a perfect example of minimalism. There are asymmetrical zippers too. It’s marked size six but seems to run big in places that aren’t the hip area. Again, better for a taller person with a different build.

Here’s a pair of awesome platform wedges from the brand VOLATILE. Size 6.5 and I wish that my big feet fit into them!!Volatile Platform Shoes - Finds of the WeekSince I told you that this blog post would have random finds, here’s beautiful vintage dress that I wish fit me! It’s tiny, and by that, I mean maybe a size 0. The tag indicates M.

The dress is very small. Therefore, I might have to go to extremes like tight lace again, it’s that small. Highly impractical yet not impossible. It seems like impractical has never stopped me.Handmade Lace Dress - Finds of the WeekLace Dress - Finds of the Week

What a cool piece of luggage that’s nearly new. How else am I to carry around my newly found treasures? I got this for the pricey sum of $4.99. It’s a brand that I’ve never heard of called MisakoMisako Luggage - Finds of the WeekI used to have this purse in the early 2000’s! It’s one of those seatbelt bags. In excellent condition and yay for me. Maybe I’ll keep this one for nostalgia and convenience. My bedspread conveniently matches the color of the purse as well. Color coordinated details, here I come!Seatbelt Purse - Finds of the Week
If you follow me on Instagram, you might notice that I posted this last night. I am turning into a sullen goth teenager. It seems like the more things change, the more they stay the same. In conclusion, I do know that I like gray and black.

What do you think? Do you find this happening to you?Goth Teenager Oh and check out the newly listed kids’ items at my Kidizen shop. There’s Adidas, Tooby Too, NWT Gymboree, and much much more.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
