Everyone has a top 10, don’t they? I do!
Here are the top 10 or 11 items of July.
I’ve completed my 10-month guild obligation (more about that later at my web development site) Do you know what this means? I have way more time for this site again!
Meanwhile, I’m doing freelance work in WordPress development and support and am pleased to mention that I am going to WordCamp Sacramento 2017.
What’s in my top 10 this month?
Here’s a fascinating dress by Molly Malloy for All That Jazz. 80’s velvet with sheer lace front panel. It’s in immaculate condition!
I remember All That Jazz from my pre teen days. My impression was that the label made things for older kids that wanted to look like Blossom. Or perhaps women in their 20’s and 30’s looking for fashionable career wear. In the 80’s though, which generally meant pastel colors and big shoulder pads.
In the sea of links on Etsy and eBay, this is the only thing about the collaboration from the first page of Google:
Once among the brightest lights on the local fashion scene, Chorus Line and Carole Little helped distinguish Southern California as a nationally recognized center of apparel design.
Chorus Line is a maker of moderately priced sportswear whose All That Jazz and Molly Malloy labels have been found everywhere from department stores to off-price retailers. Carole Little makes high-quality women’s sportswear and career apparel sold in better department stores nationwide.
Up next is this vintage 70’s maxi dress, also in immaculate condition. I’m on my tippy toes because I’m medium short at 5’5. It’s just a smidge big in the waist and bust but I’ll wear at least once before I decide to flip it. 70’s maxis and halter dresses are a thing for me. Always have been!
During the same thrift haul, I couldn’t pass up this Forever 21 90’s inspired shirt dress. It was $2!
My vintage Dr. Martens oxfords. They’re just not working for my feet anymore. Size 39, fit like a women’s 8.5These Rag and Bone pony hair heels cost a lot of money at some point. However, I got them for $9.99 and they are now listed at The Real Real online consignment. Size 7.Remember Emily the Strange? Here’s a vintage 90’s dress that’s perfectly in style now. And what’s up with my pseudo-mannequin tilting to the side? The leaning tower of Lisa. Haha!Check out these patent leather red Puma Baskets. They fit me and I got them for $9.99! Not sure if I need another pair of Pumas, but they’re cool.Check out these “alternative Christian Louboutins”. Haha. They were $3, and actually, fit me. Wonder where I’ll end up wearing them and what I’ll pair them with.I don’t personally understand Tory Burch, but I’ll get them to resell, especially when they go for a decent profit. Kate Spade kitten slingbacks. Very good condition! These B.A.I.T. platform heels sold quickly, and I would have kept them if they hadn’t been so small!
