Everyone needs great resources! Here are some that I use and highly recommend. I hope you find them helpful. Watch this space!
Please note that there are affiliate links to some items so that I can keep this site afloat. These are all items that I either use personally or believe in. Any people I mention are those that I find inspiring and informative.
I want to keep this site free of anything that doesn’t belong, like tacky and unnecessary ads. There are a lot of ways to monetize a site and I’d prefer to do that by working with outstanding people and brands.
You never know when or how inspiration strikes. The following people are the ones that I subscribe to that keep me informative and engaged. I can always read (and sometimes listen to):
I’ve used Bluehost for a very long time and like them a lot.
I’ve been using the Genesis Framework and several child themes from StudioPress.com. If you’re going to use WordPress, their ease of use and customization options can’t be beat.
There are many places online and in real life to buy and sell your clothing. The only ones that I can recommend are eBay, etsy, ThredUp and Twice. Even then, your mileage varies. It all depends on how little you are willing to part with your items. At least eBay and etsy give you more control, even though their fees are getting out of hand.
Steer clear of Threadflip and Mercari. I don’t recommend them. Threadflip burns their sellers with outrageous fees and prices NWT couture for prices you’d find at Walmart (seriously, I wish I were joking). Look at all of their online reviews and heed this one before you consider them.
Mercari is more peer-to-peer and the peers I’ve interacted with literally asked me to sell items for $5 or less. Not worth anyone’s time for sure.
Kidizen is by far my very favorite site and app to resell children’s and maternity clothing. However, there are others and mileage definitely varies.
